Our Journey
Cafe Sprinkles is a vision rooted in community, hope, and renewal. As someone who grew up in Flint, Michigan, I have witnessed both the strength of the people who live here and the challenges the city has faced over the years. While many areas of Flint remain dilapidated, I believe deeply in the potential of this community and in the power of small businesses to help bring light back to places that have experienced darkness for far too long.
My goal with Cafe Sprinkles is to create more than just a place to grab coffee or a quick bite. I want to build a welcoming space where neighbors can gather, families can spend time together, and community members can feel a sense of warmth and belonging. The name “Cafe Sprinkles” represents the idea of sprinkling joy, comfort, and positivity into the neighborhood—adding small but meaningful moments of brightness that can make a lasting impact.
Cafe Sprinkles will offer a variety of comforting and accessible options for the community, including hot and cold coffee drinks, tea, hot pizza by the slice, and sweet treats such as baked goods and ice cream. These offerings are designed to provide both convenience and enjoyment for residents of all ages, whether they are stopping in for a morning coffee, an afternoon snack, or a place to relax and connect with others.
Currently, I am working to build the infrastructure necessary to bring this vision to life. This includes developing a space that feels warm, safe, and inviting for everyone who walks through the doors. My intention is for Cafe Sprinkles to serve as a positive gathering place that reflects the resilience of Flint and contributes to the continued revitalization of the community.
Through Cafe Sprinkles, I hope to invest in the city that helped shape me and to give back by creating a place where people feel valued, welcomed, and uplifted.
